Getting Back In Shape - 1 vs 1 Duel {OPEN}

OOC: It's been ten years, so Corran's a bit rusty on the combat side of things. Any one Jedi, Sith, or Merc is welcome to come face him.

Corran Horn stood on the bridge of the battlecruiser Blinding Light. He'd infiltrated the ship to scout for information and, if possible, to attack it. The mission had gone well at first...then the informant wasn't at their rendezvous. Corran had quickly started meeting locked doors left and right. They created a path leading toward the stern of the ship. The attempt to herd him into ambush was blatant. Too blatant. Horn had cut through a blast door and made his way to the Cruiser's bridge. Bursting into the room, he'd battled the crew and guards. The fight was fierce, but short. The bodies, unconscious or dead, were strewn around the room nearly as profusely as the blaster scars.

Now the Jedi stood facing the hatch that lead back into the rest of the ship, lightsaber activated in his right hand. Someone was coming and he had a feeling this next fight would be much more difficult than the last. A shadowy figure appeared in the open hatch and stepped through. Corran swept his lightsaber up to vertical, the hilt in front of his chin, then swept it back down into a Makashi guard. He beckoned the other forward with his open hand, smiling, "Let's get on with it then, corellians don't wait very well."

Arachnos had landed only a few hours ago, first getting some rest before making his way to the commanding officer. Though it took some time, in the time he slept someone had attacked.. and frightened the officer. Instead of the bridge, he found him a small room. It seemed to be a suped up version of a secruity office, It must of had every corner of the Battlecruiser on watch. As he entered the room, the commanding officer franticly flicking his eyes on each cameria. Arachnos broke his concentration by speaking in heavy voice.

"Report, Officer"

The officer turned with a grim look... he did not want to say it. But, before long.. his piercing stare forced the words out of his mouth.

"Darth Arachnos, It seems a "Jedi" has snuck aboard the ship" Arachnos seemed very unconcerned for the news of 'a' jedi. "It seems you have some 'poorly trained' padawan wanting to play hero?" He smiles and turns. "Do you have his coordinates... " The officer said "He took out the entire crew, and gaurd for the bridge Sir.. no Chance hes poorly trained sir." Arachnos replied slightly "Coordinates, Officer" The officer pointed at one of the cameras' monitors, He continued a bit about the location and the fastest route. When Arachnos left the room, the officer became relaxed over the situation.. and unconcerned for his life.

Moments later, Arachnos found himself slightly stalking the jedi. He wanted to see how long it would take him, it could depend his strength. Though he got little chance to stalk him, the jedi almost immediately spoke out for a fight.

"A Jedi... So willing to die.. So willing to fight.. Unlike your kind.." His face was cold, and held little regards for a smile. He slowly pulled out his custom lightsaber, noticing his opponent stepped into a Makashi gaurd. "Makashi.. A good fight this will be.. " He ignited his blade, showing it's purple haze to the dimly lite hall. He opened the fight with the 'from the book' strike. It was a quick slash in an X fasion... It was not ment to harm him, but to test him...

Horn neatly parried his opponent's initial attack, angling his blade so that the other blade buzzed past his head and shoulders each time. The moment the second slash was beyond the point of endangering him, he slid his own blade forward in a fast stab at the shoulder of his opponent's dominant arm. The other stepped back, parrying Corran's blade away as he did. They circled, several yards apart, examining each other with blades at the ready.

"Not all of our Order spend most of their time in meditation, as you seem to think, Sith. The Jedi have warriors too. Perhaps you should join us, and find out first hand." The offer, while genuine, was not one Corran expected the Sith to take. And so far as he could see, this Sith had no reason yet to doubt the side of the Force he had chosen. So the corellian was not surprised when the other's cold expression didn't change as they continued to circle.

Deciding to take the initiative before the other could, Corran drew into range and unleashed several small, chopping cuts to test his opponent's defenses. At the end of the series, which had ended with his hilt in his right hand and resting near his left hip, he rotated his wrist and used the saber's makashi-style hilt to unleash a powerful horizontal slash at his opponent's midriff.

Arachnos stepped back and parried corran's blade away in the same manor. He stepped back enough to examine Horn's stance, and perhaps his blade. He stepped forward doing a stab, before stepping back at the parried attack. It was another test, which Corran passed.

"Not all of our Order spend most of their time in meditation, as you seem to think, Sith. The Jedi have warriors too. Perhaps you should join us, and find out first hand." Corran pleaded, the words he said seemed real enough. Very flawed, in that he knew nothing Arachnos' past. He kept himself at a slight distance, continueing to circle without tiring himself. "Rejoin" He corrected Corran. "I'd rather not be locked into a hole again by flawed teachings..." He could see Corran did not understand. "You must of been a padawan then, or not even in the order.." He continued, "I was imprisoned by the jedi, They did not like what was said in my mind.." He tapped his temple with his left hand, slightly cocking his head.

In the moment, Corran gained the intiative. He began to release several small attacks. Arachnos parried the first few, and then released the blade from his hand. It stayed level, and continued to parry the attacks in the same manner as though he was holding the blade. Darth Arachnos smiled, and took off his robing. Under his robing was less restricting cloths. He regained the handle, and took his stance again. He looked up seeing that Corran was confused alittle bit. "What! There my favorite..." He assured Corran.

Once again it being a stale mate, Arachnos stepped forward slashing out at his opponents waist. He slightly flicked his hand carring the blade high, then reversing into a highspeed slash toward his waistline. Corran stepped back, and allowed Arachnos to miss the attack. Arachnos recovered, and flicked his hand toward Corran. The force propelled out of his fingers, as he flicked his left hand toward the jedi.

Corran shook his head slightly; he couldn't help but be a bit amused by the Sith's theatrics in removing his robes. Moments later they were at it again, with Corran dodging his opponent's whirling blade. Then the Sith flicked his hand out and he could feel the incoming Force Push. Not having enough time to absorb the attack, the corellian jumped up and back, allowing it to throw him at the wall behind him. He twisted in mid-air, using the Force to augment his muscles, and met the wall with his feet.

Horn crouched as his momentum spent itself against the wall, then redirected the impact's force and sprang back at his opponent. As he passed to one side of the Sith, he twisted his wrist in a complex maneuver that slashed first at his opponent's stomach then continued around to slash at the back of his head.
