Jedi Training

There are three main points of focus in the training of a Jedi. Studies of Lightsaber combat, the Force, and the choosing of your path. Each step influences the other, and a Jedi must think long and hard about his decisions, for there is usually no way back!

Lightsaber Combat

All Jedi are trained in lightsaber combat, Consulars, Sentinels and Guardian's alike. Every Jedi Padawan will recieve very basic training in all of the lightsaber forms. Together with their Master, a Padawan should seek a fighting style that fits him best, and pursue that style. When they take the trials to Knighthood, a Jedi must show sufficient skills in one of the seven forms:

Form I: Shii-Cho "The Basic Form" -Good for Consulars-
Form II: Makashi "The Duelist Form" -Good for Sentinels-
Form III: Soresu "The Defensive Form" -Good for Sentinels-
Form IV: Ataru "The Agressive Form" -Good for Guardians-
Form V: Shien / Djem So "The Perseverance Form" -Good for Guardians-
Form VI: Niman "The Moderation Form" -Good for Consulars-
Form VII: Juyo / Vaapad "The Dark/Light Form" -Needs council approval-

*Remember, the -Good for Class X- is only an advice. It is in no way a rule, any Class can practice any Form.

Force Training

Through training in the Force, Jedi can achieve a greater understanding of the Force and inner peace. Meditations are a daily routine for every Jedi, and Consulars should strive to learn as much about the Force as possible.

Note on Subclasses

-Sub-Classes are granted by the Council, not automatically achieved. You need to edit into your signature which sub-class you search, so that the Council can monitor how well you perform in the aspects associated with that sub-class.

Example: Jedi Guardian, seeking Warrior.

-Paths are linked. If you are a Consular that chooses Historian as his/her sub class, your next class will automatically be Chronicler, the next one Sage Master.

Specialized Training

As a Knight or Master, you may want to pursue training of more advanced techniques. Your Master could only teach you as much as he knew, and perhaps you wish to pursue a different style of lightsaber combat, or you were a different class. If that is the case, you can ask another Master of the Order that IS specialized in that field to further your training there.

Guardian Training

-Master Martins

Sentinel Training

- ...

Consular Training

- ...

Lightsaber Trainers

Form I: Shii-Cho - ...
Form II: Makashi - ...
Form III: Soresu - Master Martins (Mythical)
Form IV: Ataru - Master Martins (Master)
Form V: Shien / Djem So - ...
Form VI: Niman - ...
Form VII: Juyo / Vaapad - ...

How it Works

Once a Jedi enlists himself for specialized training, he will enter a training course with the Master of the speciality. This means a long and extensive RP. You can only enlist for one such training at a time. More solid standards will be developed to determine when your training is finished. When done, you may add a degree to your signature. Ranks are:

Proficient - (One who can use the Form in combat without cutting his own arms off)
Expert - (A very experienced user who understands the finesses of the style)
Master - (Someone who knows the Form better than the insides of his pockets)
Mythical - (This speaks for itself)
