NOTE:

For the Apprentices: You may need to read this to learn how to get a master to train you to become a knight.

For the Master: You may need to read this to recieve apprentices and to advance in the ranks of the Jedi Order

APPRENTICES:

Welcome to the Jedi Order! You have, by now, created your character and in doing so have declared your desire to become a padawan. Within the next few hours to days your respective administrator will assign to you a mentor, or master who will be like a parent to you for the next few weeks/months. This person will not only be your mentor while you are a padawan, but will be a close friend for the rest of your experience in the Alienus community... this is one powerful friend who will help you throughout your experience here!

Once you become an apprentice, with a master, you have several duties to preform:
(1) Padawans/apprentices always call their respective master by either saying "Master" or "Master (last name). The first name is not used, and is considered rude to use.

(2) Padawans must obey their masters. Jedi higher up will not listen to your whining if your master is a bit strict. Just bite your tongue and do as your master tells you... they only want the best for you, and we would not assign them to you if we knew that they would do poorly in training you.

(3) Padawans must choose a path. Guardian, Sentinel, or Consular... but thats in another section.

Knowing this, welcome and good luck-- may the force be with you!

MASTERS:

Congradulations, you have successfully become either a Jedi Knight or Jedi Master (both of which are the only ranks allowed to train padawans). Once a member joins the order, they will officially become initiates- or masterless padawans. You may claim these initiates for yourself- via PM to your respective admin. Usually the admin will comply to your wish to train said padawan, unless someone else has beat you to it.

Ultimately, nobody is going to tell you HOW to train your padawan. Your methods that you use are up to you, but there is some guidelines that all new Masters are expected to follow...

(1) Talk to your padawan. This is the first step in getting to know your padawan, understanding them and what they're preferences are... and remember to BE NICE.

(2) Train them with their specialization in mind. Once they have chosen their specialization (which you must ask them about) you will begin to train them accordingly. Of course, the padawan you have selected will usually be in the same specialization class as you, but there are exceptions to the rule. Generally the method is:

Quote :
Guardians: Focus most on fighting > Less on using the Force

Consulars: Focus most on using the Force > Less on fighting

Sentinels: Focus equally on both tasks

Of course, training methods are your own... be creative.

(3) Give them challenges. Your padawans may look for the easy way out. Challenge them. Don't be afraid to make them fail, and put them in their place if they refuse to fail. Remember that they learn more from failing than they will from succeeding.

(4) This is mandatory. All padawans must go on a "crystal mission" where they will hunt for the color and internal crystals for their lightsaber ONCE THEY HAVE UNDERGONE SEVERAL DAYS/WEEKS OF TRAINING. It is up to you and your padawan collectively to decide which planet to send them to. Be creative on the mission type.

On this mission you must have them face a great challenge, and a member of the Sith. This member must be real, and must be played by a real time player. It is advised that your padawan face a sith acolyte. It is YOUR responsibility to contact the Sith Admin and to set up the mission. You may leave the outcome of the mission to your padawans if you wish.

Once this mission is over, your padawan may graduate and become a knight.
